The Moment of Silence Since 2000 (Public Law 106-579) every Memorial Day at 3 p.m. local time, for one full minute Americans pay tribute to individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States and their families. Whether you're at home, at a parade or in the middle of a speech, please take a moment to observe the National Moment of Remembrance. For 60 seconds pause to Remember all the men and women who died in service to our country.
